Poles believe that Poland’s football national team will be successful during the forthcoming EURO 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland.
Accorsing a poll by MillwardBrown SMG KRC pollster, as many as 44 percent of respondents said that the Polish team will advance from the tough group B, where they are to play against Germany, Austria and Croatia, and will play in the quarter-finals.
However, only seven percent of the Poles believe that the Polish national team will actually win the European champions title. The greatest chances for the victory the Poles give to the German team.
The poll by MillwardBrown SMG KRC was conducted for RMF FM radio.
Poland is to play in 2008 European Football Championships for the first time in the team’s history. (jm)
