Distinctions for promoter of Polish cinema in U.S.
Yola Czaderska-Hayek, dubbed an 'unofficial ambassador of Polish cinematography in the United States’, has received two Polish state distinctions for her promotional activities.
These are the Amicus Poloniae award and the the Gloria Artis silver medal. The presentation ceremony was held during the 9th Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles.
A graduate of the Polish Studies Department at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Yola Czaderska-Hayek has lived in Hollywood for many years. She has to her credit several books on Hollywood and exclusive interviews with top cinema stars.
Czaderska-Hayek is the only Polish Hollywood correspondent to vote for the prestigious Golden Globe Awards. She is a free-lance contributor to many periodicals in Poland and other countries. (mk)
