• Jacek Dehnel at London’s Literature Night
  • 12.05.2010

Poland’s Jacek Dehnel is among seven writers from across Europe taking part in today’s European Literature Night in the British Library in London.

The writers will read excerpts from their work, discuss their country, their life and their literature. The other writers come from the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, Lithuania and the Czech Republic. They were chosen by an expert panel from among entries from 24 countries – members of the European Union National Institutes for Culture EUNIC.

Born in 1980, Jacek Dehnel is a prose-writer, poet and translator. Some of his poems have been translated into English. His debut novel Lala, published in 2006, is a compelling family saga.

At last year’s European Literature Night in London, Poland was represented by Paweł Huelle.  (mk)
