• Night at the Museum

Saturday night is Museum Night in major Polish cities. In Warsaw 158 institutions are taking part in this year’s edition of the event.

 

Museums, galleries, the Polish Lower House, the Warsaw synagogue and the Stock Exchange. Many Cultural Institutes will also be open until 3 in the morning. Museum Night offers free entry to all galleries and museums and all accompanying events.

 

The capital has prepared over 40 concerts, six theatre performances and film shows. Transport between all the cultural institutions will be free of charge and an additional attraction will be historic buses and trams travelling through the city.

Museum Night was launched for the first time in Poland in 2004 in the southern city of Krakow. Now the event is joined by all major Polish cities.

Last year Museum Night caught the attention of over 200 thousand visitors in Warsaw. (ab)
