Olga Tokarczuk, one of Poland’s best-selling novelists, appears today at the London Review Bookshop in London.
Tokarczuk has eight novels to her credit, two of which – Primeval and Other Times and House of Day, House of Night – are available in English translation.
The former was published by Twisted Spoon earlier this year. Set in the Silesian countryside, both novels are told in the magical tone of a fairy tale, their stories combining mystery and reality in an intriguing way.
On Thursday, Tokarczuk will appear at Waterstone's Bookshop in Glasgow together with Antonia Lloyd-Jones, the translator of her books.
Tokarczuk’s books have translated into almost twenty languages. (mk)
