The Oscar statuette of Jan A.P. Kaczmarek is on display at the western city of Poznan's Museum of Musical Instruments.
The Poznan-born composer, now living in the US, was granted the Academy Award in 2005 for his music to Marc Forster’s film “Finding Neverland”.
The Poznan Museum has honoured its citizen with a special exhibition and the composer decided to present his award for indefinite display at the museum.
Jan A.P. Kaczmarek has also announced his plans to organise, as of next year, an international film festival in Poznan which would attract crowds of renowned stars of the film industry. Details of the idea, however, still remain undisclosed. (ab/jb)
