Polish Film Festivals are under way in three Mexican towns - Mexico City, Guadalajara and Tijuana.
The programme comprises 15 features by directors of several generations, including Andrzej Wajda’s Katyn and Andrzej Jakimowski’s Tricks. The events are organized by the Warsaw-based company Manana, which specializes in the distribution of artistic cinema, together with the Polish Film Institute, the Polish Embassy and the Cineteca National.
Later this summer, reviews of the recent achievements of Polish directors are to be held also in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Venezuela and Brazil. (mk)
