One of the main attractions of the VII Singer’s Jewish Cultural Festival in Warsaw, which begins this weekend, is a screening of Yael Hersonski’s A Film Unfinished.
The movie uses previously unseen footage taken by a Nazis film crew just before they liquidated the Warsaw Ghetto in 1943.
Director Yael Hersonski tells Polish Radio’s Magda Jensen how he went about making a new film in memory of the hundreds of thousands who died in the Ghetto from an old Nazi propaganda movie.
