Scottish singer Rod Stewart is billed in the northern town of Torun on 11 June 2011.

The gig will be the artist’s only gig in Poland during his worldwide tour and his second appearance in Poland.

On 26 July 2007 he was one of the stars of the concert in Gdansk to mark the 27th anniversary of the birth of Solidarity and attracted around 35, 000 fans. 

This time Rod Stewart will perform at the Motoarena in Toruń,  the venue for both speedway races and musical events, such as last summer’s concert by the tenor Jose Carreras. The Internet sale of the tickets has already started.

Sixth five year-old Rod Stewart began his career in the 1970s. His records have sold over 250 million copies. (mk)
