Have you ever heard about Wojtek (Voytek) the bear?
No, not one of the Three Bears in the Goldie Locks story, nor Yogi the bear... Voytek was a soldier bear, born in 1942 during World War Two.

Presented by Slawek Szefs

As a Syrian brown bear cub he was adopted by the 22nd Artillery Supply Company of the Polish II Corps under the command of General Wladyslaw Anders stationed in Iran, then moving on to Iraq and through Syria, Palestine and Egypt, to southern Italy.
