The Polskosc Quiz, a questionnaire  to discover the rate of Polishness in an American resident in Poland opens the book 'Shortcuts to Poland'- a very practical guide to how to find one’s way in the meanders of Polish behavior, way of life, social rules and language intricacies.

Shortcuts to Poland is the brainchild of Laura Klos Sokol an American who came to Poland 18 years ago on a Fulbright  lectureship to teach at the Warsaw University.

Since then Warsaw has become her second home, she is married to a Pole, has a charming daughter Olivia and two dogs, which  as she admits have helped her more than once to engage in conversation with perfect strangers, while strolling in the park.
