Woody Allen is to visit Poland with his New Orleans Jazz Band, in which he plays the clarinet. 

He is to perform in the Silesian capital of Katowice, most probably on 23 March, as part of the city’s promotion in its race for the title of the European Capital of Culture in 2016. A review of his films is planned as a side-line event.

Woody Allen’s only previous visit to Poland was two years ago, for a concert in Warsaw’s Congress Hall. 

His eight-strong New Orleans Jazz Band was founded twenty years ago. (mk)
