April will see a series of big name concerts that will have rockers and metalheads in sonic heaven.

The city of Lodz, Central Poland, is hosting the gigs, which begin on 11 April, with beloved metal veterans Slayer and Megadeth. They’ll be letting rip in the city’s Atlas Arena as part of the European Carnage Tour.

A week later, Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters will be playing two gigs at the same venue. The tour marks the 30th anniversary of cult double album The Wall.

Waters will be performing cuts from the classic album, in what’s being touted as one of the last opportunities to catch him on such a large scale tour.

However, Lodz is not solely for headbangers this spring. Fans of less gritty sounds can catch Colombian songstress Shakira, who’ll be taking to the stage at the Atlas Arena on 17 May as part of The Sun Comes Out World Tour. (nh/jb)
