Russia, Iran and Qatar are preparing to set up a structure similar to OPEC but concerning gas. They want to increase Europe's gas prices and Moscow will lead the effort, writes GAZETA WYBORCZA.  Poland is bracing for the rise of gas prices in November. Will the competition on the market lower the prices? asks the paper. Russia, Iran and Qatar want to prevent this. That's why on Tuesday in Teheran they started setting up an organization similar to OPEC. This idea is a nightmare for Western Europe, comments the daily.

RZECZPOSPOLITA reports on another stage of parents' protests against the Education Ministry reform of the Polish schooling system. Tens of thousands of parents expressed their opposition to the idea of obligatory institutionalized education for 6-year old children. So far, parents can choose to send their kids to kindergartens or schools at such an early age. The ministry wants to make it compulsory. So far, several grassroots parents' campaigns, representing tens of thousands of families, have not managed to attract the attention of the ministry, which largely ignored and downplayed the concerned parents' voice, reports RZECZPOSPOLITA. Now the parents are sending photocopies of their hands to the ministry to prove they are very real and would like to be listened to. Polish President invited organizers of one major protest to sit at a round negotiation table with him. They will have a chance to explain why they think Polish schools are not ready to be of real service to their children, says RZECZPOSPOLITA.

In Poland, the income of the richest is 13.5 times higher than the income of the poorest, says a report on social stratification published by OECD. In Sweden and Denmark this proportion is only 5 to 1, not 13.5 to 1, reports DZIENNIK daily. Poland is in the fourth place in the ranking of countries with the largest gap between the highest and lowest incomes. We are surpassed only by Mexico in the first place, Turkey in second and the USA. This means our country has a dynamic economy, experts told the DZIENNIK daily.
