"Credibility is key", reads the campaign slogan of the Polish Right party presidential candidate Marek Jurek, announced at a special conference in Warsaw on Tuesday.

"Polish politics for many years suffered from a frivolous attitude towards the electorate and declarations during campaigns,” says Jurek, a onetime member and former deputy leader of the Law and Justice party.

“Politicians have made promises pertaining to planned policies and would later forget them or would withdraw from them. Credibility is key in politics, as words and slogans are important but actions bear far more significance,” he told journalists.

The former parliamentary speaker founded the Polish Right party in 2007. (ab)
