The rankings of the most popular websites in Poland, as of November 2008, have been released and Google tops the list.
The companies Megapanel PBI and Gemius have collected data on Polish internet usage and report that the American search engine, Google, tops the list, while the Polish search engine, Onet.pl takes second place.
Google enjoyed 13.5 million users in November 2008 while Onet.pl had 9.9 million users.
Wirtualna Polska, the Polish web portal, Nasza-Klasa.pl, the popular Polish social networking site, and Allegro.pl, the Polish version of ebay.com, an auction website, make up the remaining three of the top five most highly trafficked websites in Poland.
The most commonly used communications programs are Gadu-Gadu with 5.9 million users and Skype takes second place with 4.3 users.
Both Gadu-Gadu and Skype combined account for 64% of the most commonly used communications programs. (mmj)
