• Almost one third of Poles bored with politics?
  • 16.03.2011

As many as 36 percent of Poles support the government, 30 percent oppose it and the same amount does not care about it at all, shows a survey by CBOS pollsters.

Since February the number of both supporters and opponents of the government has decreased by one percent, while those who are indifferent increased by one percent.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk has also lost support, the survey shows. Last month, 43 percent of respondents expressed support for the Prime Minister, two percentage points more than this month. 41 percent said he was not the right person to hold office, which was four percentage points less than this month.

Only 29 percent of Poles believe that government policy is helping to improve the economic situation in the country, a two percentage point drop on February’s figures. As many as 58 percent of respondents have an opposite view and their number has increased by four percentage points in comparison to last month.

The survey was conducted between 3 and 9 March among 950 Poles. (mg/jb)
