Agents from the Central Investigation Bureau (CBS) have arrested two members of an international criminal organization concerned with narcotics trade in Western Europe.
Thirty-six-year-old Cezary R. and 35-year-old Serhiy A. from the Ukraine were arrested in Warsaw on Wednesday during an amphetamines transaction.
Police spokesperson Mariusz Sokolowski stated that the estimated value of the drugs seized by CBS was 30,000 zloty (6,300 euro).
“The men were completely shocked to see CBS agents. Serhiy A. attempted to escape, but was caught after a short run. He and his colleague were arrested at once and taken to jail,” Sokolowski stated.
The CBS action was part of a long-term investigation into this particular international criminal organization. The men face up to ten years in prison for drug trafficking. (mmj)
