The Central Statistical Office said Tuesday that Poland’s unemployment rate rose to 10.5 percent, in line with estimates given earlier this month by the Labour Ministry.

With 1.63 million registered unemployed in January this is a rise of 160,000, or one percent, on the previous month. (pg)
