A Polish pizza delivery worker was wounded in the drive-by shootings in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, at weekend which saw the death of two British soldiers.

The 32 year old Pole was shot when delivering food for the Domino Pizza delivery firm at the Massareene Army base, half an hour’s drive north from Belfast. The man and another delivery worker are in a “serious but stable condition’ say press reports.

The assailants were from the small dissident republican Real IRA group, who have never accepted the ceasefire and Good Friday agreement, brokered in the 1998 by the British government. (pg)
