Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has invited his European Union counterparts that are similarly involved in the NATO mission in Afghanistan to join him for a breakfast meeting on Monday morning to kick off his week of work in Brussels.
Foreign Ministers from France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Holland and the Czech Republic are invited to meet with Sikorski before the official meeting of all 27 member states’ ministers taking place later in the week.
Those invited to the breakfast to discuss one of NATO’s most important present challenges – Afghanistan – are both EU and NATO members.
The breakfast kicks off a very active week for Poland’s Foreign Minister. Besides meeting with his EU counterparts, he will take part in the Thursday-Friday EU Summit. As well, Sikorski will spend Wednesday on an official state visit to Belgium.
Thursday morning, the head of Poland’s diplomacy has invited the Polish employees at a Brussels think tank to join him in another breakfast meeting. As well, he will represent Poland at the European Policy Center to promote the Polish-Swedish ‘Eastern Partnership’ project. (mmj)
