Around half of doctors at the hospital for infectious diseases in Torun, central Poland, have gone on strike, Monday.

They are demanding a salary rise of 1000 zloty (229 euro) instead of the 10% offered by hospital management.

The strike announced by the Doctors' Trade Union of Poland was proceeded by two short warning strikes last week. (gg)
