Seven-year-old Kuba from Zabrze, southern Poland, saved his elderly grandmother from attack by a 52-year-old drunk by calling the police.
The 52-year-old forced his way into the apartment – police suspect that it was by mistake – and very aggressively began to threaten the boy’s grandmother. Kuba immediately phoned the police, gave the dispatcher his full name and address and described the situation.
The police reacted rapidly and arrived at the apartment in time to prevent the intruder form injuring anyone. The intruder, according to police statements, is homeless. His blood alcohol levels showed over 2 promilles in a breathalyzer test.
A police spokesperson stated: “Kuba’s father is a City Guard. Maybe he taught him what to do in an emergency situation.” (mmj)
