• Car and drug gang arrested

An organized crime group of 19 people specializing in car theft and drug dealing was arrested in Jelenia Gora, lower Silesia.

 

Spokesperson for the regional police in Wroclaw, southwest Poland, Pawel Petrykowski, stated that the police have tracked the gang since February 2008 and are able prove that they have stolen at least 67 cars with a total value of 3 million zloty (648,000 euro). Petrykowski added that the majority of cars stolen were foreign-made.

 

The police found ecstasy, marijuana, amphetamines and electronic scales for portioning out drugs amongst the other incriminating evidence in the apartments of those arrested.

 

Petrykowski added that the stolen cars were stolen and sold all around the country. (mmj)
