The bodies of Polish tourists who went missing in Slovakian Tatra Mountains a few days ago have been discovered buried under an avalanche in Belianske Tatras.
A 65 year-old man and his 27-year-old daughter set out on the mountain trip on Saturday on a trip through Czarna Rakuska Valley in the direction of Chata Plesnivec refuge.
After they were reported missing rescue services searched the area in the valley and suspected that the couple could have been carried away by an avalanche, even though there were no witnesses of the accident.
The rescuers found a car belonging to the two Poles parked at the mouth of the valley.
The search involved both Polish and Slovak mountain rescuers with dogs and special equipment. (jm)
