The Law and Justice party (PiS) party will have to remove a controversial ad campaign from television and apologize to Civic Platform (PO) for libeling the party as being nepotistic, a court ruled, Thursday. 

Law and Justice has already announced that it will appeal against the decision. 

The court ruled that Law and Justice must broadcast an apology on all main television stations: TVP, TVN and Polsat and on its web site as well as several internet news sites.  

The controversial TV ad, which was filmed for the European Parliament elections on 7 June, accuses Civic Platform of not keeping election promises and supporting only the party’s friends. (mg/pg)
