The third edition of the nationwide campaign called "Forum Against Depression" has just been launched in Poland. Its basic aim is spreading social awareness of the fact that depression is a very serious ailment, which can lead to disability. According to the latest statistics, even every third adult Pole can suffer from it.
The campaign has been organised by Itaka - Center for Missing People, a Polish NGO in cooperation with Servier Polska, an independent French pharmaceutical company.
As part of the nationwide campaign, free consultations in six largest Polish cities - Katowice. Krakow, Gdansk, Lublin, Poznan and Warsaw are to be offered starting this weekend. Also, a national depression help line operating five days a week has been set up by Itaka.
