The Round Table, Warsaw 1989

When the Round Table talks started in Poland on the 6th of February 1989, other countries of the communist bloc were in different stages of nearing the end of communism. Were they informed on what was going on in Poland? Did they believe or hope that a real change was about to come?

Jiri Schneider (Prague Security Studies Institute, former Czech MP), Marin Lessenski (Open Society Institute, Sophia, Bulgaria), Adam Burakowski, PhD (Institute of Political Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences) - experts from post-communist countries talk about how Czechs and Slovaks, Bulgarians and Romanians reacted to the events in Poland.
