Polish expats or tourists who have little knowledge of the language of the country they’re in may no longer fret about describing medical symptoms and receiving the diagnosis from medical doctors thanks to a website listing Polish-speaking practitioners across the globe.

An online database of Polish physicians employed abroad has recently been launched, allowing Poles based all over the world to get in touch with a native speaker when seeking medical treatment. Co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the project is intended to reach the 17,000 medical doctors spread across the globe, as estimated by the Polish Medical Association in Germany. Launched on 29 January, the list has already reached 3,500 and is constantly growing.
