The low fare carrier cut 11 routes connecting the UK and Poland quoting cost factors on the Polish side.
Ryanair, the Irish based low fare carrier, has decided to cut some of its routes to and from Poland quoting falling profitability as the main reason.
Ryanair says it has been forced to cancel 11 routes connecting Poland and the UK as a direct result of changes to air traffic control charges by PANSA which have increased ATC costs by almost 1,000%. In light of these increased costs Ryanair cannot continue to provide passengers with the low airfares they demand on some prices sensitive Polish routes. As a consequence Ryanair will carry 500,000 fewer passengers to/from Poland in this year.
