Gambling outlets proliferate across Poland.

An increasing number of people are looking to low-stakes gambling to ease their financial straits. The reasons may be different: including stressed budget issues and the rise of unemployment in a backwash of the ongoing economic slowdown. But some do it because of simple hopes for winning a fortune.

 

Opportunities to gamble abound in cities and towns across the country. Puls Biznesu, a daily on economy and business, claims Poles spent up to 2 billion euros on gambling machines over the last year.
