Awarded "Scena Prapremier InVitro" from Lublin

The 15th National Competition for Production of Conteporary Polish Plays - the most prestigious contest in Polish theatre circles was settled yesteray. The jury made its mind up after watching almost 450 plays.

Fortunately, the finance crisis does not seem to influence the theatre in Poland. The houses are usually full even though, the tickets for plays remain quite expensive. That gives a great stimulus for young visionaires, those who drive theatre forward in Poland. "The contest is to help them," says Marcin Bratnikowski, from Kompania Doomsday theatre, currenly a juror, but a laureate himself few years ago.
