In July the city of Gdynia turned into an international design centre. The Gdynia Design Days brought together designers and designs, manufacturers and business, from countries around the Baltic Sea.

As the sailing ships put out to sea for the Tall Ships Races, applied art and design took over the wharf and the city museums. Gdynia Design Days were organized for the second time running, making this event competition to Łódź, which so far had the only such festival in Poland.
Elzbieta Krajewska spoke to curator Krzysztof Bielski, a mine of information on everything in connection with the Days.
