Polish Radio's External Service has received India's Promoter 2009 award, for "extensive coverage of economic, social, cultural and religious aspects of contemporary India."

The award is aimed to recognise the promotional efforts of those who have contributed to the popularization of Indian arts, culture, and business, as well as boosting ties between the two nations. It has been initiated by the Indian Embassy in Poland, and Razvi Husseini, head of the Centre of Indian Culture and chairman of Promote.biz agency.
