Washington intends to limit its presence to a State Department representative at the 70th anniversary commemorations of the outbreak of World War Two.

Poland has repeatedly declared itself as a strong US ally, often having to bear criticism from its European partners for such statements. But for some months Washington's interest in further tightning relations with Warsaw seems to have waned.
