A giant banner with the profile of a Polish soldier from 1939 was mounted on Warsaw’s Palace of Culture. It accompanies an open-air exhibition devoted to the World War II and honouring the 70th anniversary of its outbreak.
Along with the organizers of the exhibition, and of the banner, watching the great sheet unfurl with artist Rafał Rostowiński and Bogusław Szostkiewicz from the Wizna 1939 Society were members of the Swedish heavy metal group Sabaton, whose song 40:1 on the heroic stand of a command of Polish troops in September 1939 brought them celebrity status here.
