Collaboration of policemen and administration with the Taliban poses growing threat to coalition forces in Afghanistan.

News has come from Afghanistan of the arrest of the police chief in Ajrestan district suspected of collaboration with the Taliban. The district is in Ghazni province supervised by the Polish contingent of the NATO mission.

The arrested man is also suspected of being the source of information which led to the ambush of a 65 man training patrol near Usman Khel in which a Polish officer and 8 Afghani soldiers under his command were killed on August 10th.
