More and more Georgian citizens are coming to Poland seeking a better and safer life in this country.

About one hundred of them, mostly of Kurdish origin apply for refugee status here every day as soon as they cross the Polish-Belorussian border in Terespol. In order to assist them the Department of Immigration and Refugees opened a new refugee center in Biała-Podlaska, eastern Poland.
Currently over six thousand immigrants, including 1500 from Georgia are using various sorts of assistance provided by the Department in centers around the country.
