Poland's FM is in Washington with a busy agenda including prominent US politicians and officials.
Report by Slawek Szefs
Opening his visit on Monday minister Sikorski took part in a conference devoted to the Eastern Partnership program organized by the Brookings Institution and met with the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Democrat John Kerry whom he assured of Poland's support for providing EU assistance to Pakistan as an ally in the fight against the Taliban in Afghanistan. Mr. Sikorski also had lunch with former presidential security advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski.
Though the list of his meetings also includes discussions with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, on Wednesday, the Polish Foreign Minister appealed to the media for moderation in forming far reaching expectations as to any formal outcome of his US trip.
