Today marks the fifth anniversary of the legendary Courier from Warsaw, journalist, writer, and longtime head of the Polish section of Radio Free Europe, Jan Nowak-Jezioranski.

The Warsaw events set the stage for yearlong commemorations encompassing lectures, seminars, discussions and film screenings held in Poland and beyond, in cities such as Wrocław, Kraków, Lviv, and overseas in Washington DC, New York and Chicago.
