General Carter Ham, the commander of U.S. Army Europe, is in Poland for a joint Polish-U.S. exercise before an assignment in Afghanistan.

In an interview with Polish Radio’s Wojciech Cegielski, general Ham spoke about the prospects for Afghanistan and the tasks facing the Polish contingent there. He stressed that exercises such as the current Mission Rehearsal are indispensable before deployment.
