With up to 40 centimetres of snow falling on Poland over the past couple of days, no wonder that Monday morning rush hour turned into mayhem for commuters, most notably near the capital Warsaw, where one of the major national routes saw two major collisions causing severe tailbacks.
It also seems that winter doesn’t want to lose its grip on Poland, with many people not surprised about the continuing snowy weather. Spring officially starts on 20 March.
