A Chinese princess  has taken over the city of Wrocław!  The face of Turandot is everywhere: pictured by Wojciech Siudmak himself she stares out of posters, banners, flyers all over the city.

She is the icon of a feat that has never been done before in Poland: grand opera for some 15 thousand viewers at a time.  Wrocław Opera has invited director Michał Znaniecki to oust speedway from the city’s old Olympic Stadium for three nights in June and enthrone Puccini’s immortal ice-princess there.
