Today marks the culmination of a month long campaign co-organized by local authorities and various cycling organisations called "Go Bike Poland" aimed at encouraging Poles to switch from driving to biking while commuting to work.

According to the latest opinion poll by TNS OBOP the majority of Poles - sixty eight percent - bike for pleasure or relaxation as well as pursue cycling tourism. Every third one or thirty four percent use a bike to get to a destination, twenty seven bike to go shoppping while only every tenth Pole, or a mere nine percent, bike to school or workplace.
