Apart from traditional Christmas festivities, however, Minister Klich also met with the Ghazni provincial governor and top US officers following an article in Time magazine which claimed Polish soldiers weren’t pulling their weight on the ground.
On his visit to Afghanistan, Bogdan Klich also inspected Polish helicopters as well as took part in talks on the introduction of new unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used in reconnaissance missions. Two sets of four Isreali-built UAVs were purchased at the beginning of this year for around 20 million euro, and are set to help Polish efforts in Afghanistan.
