The Civic Platform of Donald Tusk marks 10 years of its foundation with a bagful of successes, failures and plans.
Report by Slawek Szefs
The Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska) started out in 2001 as a political movement with the aim of uniting liberally minded sections of Polish society. Its main objective was to remove from political power the then ruling post-communist camp and rally politicians of the fragmented and quarrelling post-Solidarity groupings.
We cannot call this our decade, but the latest term has had its visible impact on Poland's present reality, boasts Civic Platform. Propaganda and nothing but propaganda, is the response from the major opposition Law and Justice.
