Annually, Poles spend up to two billion zloty (half a billion euro) on esoterica: visiting clairvoyants or Tarot readers, on periodicals and publications.

Now, an increasingly big slice of the cake is going to businesses offering the service on television and via the internet. Even with some 100 million zloty spent on television psychics, the numbers are nowhere near the West, but considering a market of some three million customers, the esoteric – or personal development consulting – business in Poland is in for a good spell.
