To bring back the memory of bold and steadfast fighters for Poland's freedom is the main idea of an educational campaign and a film festival organized in Ciechanów.

The project is organized by a group of friends - journalists, film makers and scholars, headed by Arkadiusz Gołębiewski, a talented independent film maker, traveler and photographer. They want to bring back the memory of unknown facts and figures of Poland's history of the recent times: since World War Two until the democratic transformation of Poland in 1989. They focus on local communities and are trying to dig up local heroes and ordinary fighters, not just well-known leaders of freedom movements. The festival in Ciechanów starts on Thursday, the 6th of November and will last three days.
