The latest addition to the museum's collection is a plaque with the coat of arms of the 7th Fighter Squadron named after Tadeusz Kosciuszko, the Polish-American independence hero.

Report by Slawek Szefs.

Its design had actually been conceived by American pilots back in 1919, when they came to help Poland which was reborn as a sovereign state following World War One and after more than 120 years of foreign partitions. The plaque with its symbolic  coat of arms had been orbitting in space for 15 days thanks to US astronaut George Zamka, who is of Polish descent. He now brought it to Warsaw as a gift for the Polish Army Museum.
