German Chancellor Angela Merkel will visit Poland next year to attend the anniversary events of the June 4 elections which led to the collapse of communism and of the outbreak of World War II on September 1. Many other leading European politicians are expected to attend. Will Poland seize the opportunity to draw Europe’s attention to the two occasions?
